We are in the process of setting up a golf outing for the 24th of February. Tee times are TBD for now, but Reggie has so kindly offered to set up three tee times at Dad Miller. Please let us know if you are interested in participating in this event. Also, I have taken the SCGA / USGA Handicap training session, in which there are some additional guidelines the Subparboys Committee must adhere to, as well as for the members of the club. I am currently waiting on my test results in order to obtain administrative access to the SCGA Handicap system.
Updates:
- John, Dan and I will be putting a packet together for every club member. I am targeting to have these packets completed by the 24th for distribution. This packet will contain basic information such as how to properly fill out a score card, manually calculating your Course Handicap Index and so on....
- I believe no one has received any bag tags. I have ordered additional bag tags for all registered members.
- John, Dan and I have also decided to update out Subparboys blog website, in order to post key club information. Our goal is to have this site updated once a month at a minimum.
- We will need to finalize the 2008 Handicap Committee members and Tournament / Event Committee Members. These committees are very inportant to the clubs operations, as well as making it fun for every club member. By attending the training session, there are many facets of running a club. John, Dan and I would be stretched if we had to do this ourselves. In short, we are looking for vaulenteers....!!

Mike and I are working on the promised updates to our club blog. In the mean time, you should be preparing for our next official club event to be held at Dad Miller Golf Course in Anaheim on Sunday, May 18th. We want to see at least 12 members at this event so get rid of all the excuses and get your game ready to rumble!!!
